Jean-Eloi is presently a PhD student in the RAEng-McLaren Racing Research Chair at Imperial College. He is supervised by Prof. Spencer Sherwin at Imperial College and Dr. Mark Taylor at McLaren Racing and is working on transferring Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology from the realm of research to McLaren Racing's Formula One design team.

In 2013 Jean-Eloi exceeded the requirements for his Masters of Science in Physics at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) after working on his Masters thesis as a research assistant in the Laminar Flow Control Group at Imperial College.
